RACHEL AUDI CAMPAIGNS FOR CHARITY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

September 19, 2010

RACHEL AUDI CAMPAIGNS FOR CHARITY

Delegate Candidate Calls Citizens to Volunteer, Bridge Poverty Gaps

Cheverly, MD – Today Rachel Audi, candidate for the 47th Legislative District made an unprecedented announcement in campaigning, that she will be spending part of her campaign time volunteering for charity in lieu of campaigning. She also will be giving 10% of all campaign contributions to charity.

Rachel plans to volunteer for nonprofit organizations in Prince George’s County in order to raise awareness of significant gaps between the poor and the middle income, and to call the privileged to help their needy neighbors.

“Today I call upon you to volunteer. Together we can put the ‘service’ back into ‘public service,’” Rachel said. “I am a Republican for the poor and needy. We must walk the compassionate-Republican walk, and focus on others instead of ourselves.”

According to a 2007 Urban Institute report, communities that have a presence of nonprofits have a corresponding increase in the financial value of homes, which is an indicator of a community’s economic strength.

“The more we volunteer together with nonprofits, the stronger we will become,” Audi stated. “Together we will lift Prince George’s higher. I encourage everyone to make a decision today to choose a nonprofit and volunteer.”

“At the end of the day, I want to go beyond campaigning. I want to make a difference in someone’s life.”

Individuals can volunteer and join the Campaign for Charity at www.AudiForDelegate.com.

A Rally for Prince George's County's Future!

Saturday, October 16, 2010
11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Lake Presidential Golf Club
3151 Presidential Golf Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD

Bob Ehrlich demonstrated his commitment to Prince George’s school children by improving benefits to attract quality teachers, renovating aging schools and increasing direct aid to Prince George’s education system by over 40% resulting in unprecedented gains on state assessment exams by 2008. The momentum was lost with O’Malley. Ehrlich will return the momentum with a plan for Charter Schools.
 As Governor, Bob Ehrlich will repeal O'Malley's 20% unfair government sales tax increase, helping Prince George’s County residents keep more of our hard earned money.
 Bob Ehrlich has a plan to help reduce unemployment and reduce County home foreclosures.
 Bob Ehrlich supports small businesses and access to investment capitol in Prince George’s County. As Governor, he will work with the County Executive to create real jobs. Not more jobs funded by taxpayers.
 Go to www.ehrlichrally.com and see why you need to attend the rally and vote Bob Ehrlich for Governor!

O’Malley has created our debt by over $1 billion and has nothing to lose. He ignored Prince George’s County after the last
election. Now you will see him again at campaign time. Make this O’Malley’s last term. Prince George’s needs a leader who cares about our local issues. It’s not about Washington! This election is about us and who will stand up for us.
Do the research — Don’t believe what you hear and see on those television ads.

(Ehrlich) and http://mlis.state.md.us/2010rs/misc/MajorIssuesReview2007-2010.pdf (O’Malley)

Stand up for a Leader we can trust. A Leader who keeps his promise - and that’s Bob Ehrlich

On November 2nd your vote will not be for Washington and Congress, it will be about Maryland.

It’s about Prince George’s County. Together, we must demand solutions for local issues in Prince George’s County.
We need someone we can trust!

GOVERNOR ROBERT L. EHRLICH ENDORSES
HOLLY HENDERSON FOR MD STATE DELEGATE

(Fort Washington, MD) – Maryland Governor Robert L. Ehrlich announces his endorsement of Holly Ellison Henderson, a Republican running for Maryland State Delegate (District 26 – Prince George’s County). Henderson, the lone Republican candidate, running unopposed will advance to the general election on November 2.

“Holly has what it takes to be a true bi-partisan representative in the Maryland General Assembly,” said former Governor Robert L. Ehrlich. “I’ve seen her work first-hand with Democrats, Republicans, riders, citizens and businesses on various transportation issues in the State. She is the best candidate to fight for the needs of Southern Prince George’s County residents.”

A public affairs and transportation services professional, Henderson served her first gubernatorial appointment for the Ehrlich Administration as Deputy Director for the Office of Communications and Business Relations for the Maryland Aviation Administration at BWI Marshall Airport from 2003-2005. She was later promoted to Director for the Office of Public Information for the Maryland Transit Administration from 2005-2008, where she also served as Executive Producer and Host of a monthly, seven-time nationally awarded cable television show “In Touch With the MTA” and two weekly radio shows, “This Week with the MTA” and “MTA Meet the Experts.”

Henderson was project manager for the Pentagon’s Rest and Recuperation (R&R) program at BWI Marshall for U.S. troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. She also led the communications effort working with elected officials for the Policy Usage Steering Committee after legislation was passed to rename BWI to honor the late Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. The Airport name recognized the contributions of civil rights leader Marshall, the first African American justice on the U.S. Supreme Court.

Born in Prince George’s, and a 15 year county resident, Henderson earned her Master of Science degree in Transportation from Morgan State University.

Along with her husband, Michael, a federal contract specialist, Ms. Henderson resides in Fort Washington with their son, Paul.

Black Genocide Continues in Maryland

Maryland Becomes Second State to Offer Federally Funded Abortions under Obamacare http://cnsnews.com/news/article/69559.

According to CNSNews.com, "Maryland will receive $85 million in federal funds for its federally mandated high-risk insurance pool, which will cover abortions."

President Obama delivered a speech to a joint session of Congress during the health-care debate, saying: “Under our plan, no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions.” Another lie another broken promise by the Obama Democratic Administration!

Fact: Abortion is big business.

Fact: Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the U.S.

Fact: Planned Parenthood is located in nearly 80% of minority communities.

Fact: Every day in the United States 1, 876 black babies are aborted on average.

Fact: Black women are 5x more likely than their white counterparts to have an abortion, according to the Alan Guttmacher Institute.

Fact: Since 1973, it is estimated that black women have aborted more than 16 MILLION babies!
